CONTEST ENTRY
How much does it cost to enter the contest?
This year’s contest will require all contestants to purchase a beat from the Contest page on the Funk Volume website. The beats are only $7.99.
When can I submit my entry?
You may submit your entry when the contest begins on the contest tab of any Funk Volume Facebook page.
The contest begins on: February 17, 2013
Voting will open up on: March 11, 2013 (12:00am PST)
Voting will end on: March 24, 2013 (16:59pm PST)
Finalists announced: March 27, 2013 (7:00pm PST)
Winners announced: March 31, 2013 (7:00pm PST)
How many times can I enter?
Each contestant may submit one entry.
How long should my entry be?
Your entry should be no longer than 3 minutes. Any entries longer than 3 minutes will be disqualified.
Can I use more than one of the contest beats?
No.
Can we enter the contest as a group?
Fasho! You may submit an entry along with another artist(s). However, if you submit a group entry, then you will not be able to submit a solo entry. AND your entry must still be no longer than 3 minutes.
I don’t have a camera to make a video. How can I still enter the contest?
No. You must submit an actual video.
Does the quality of the video matter?
NYou should make the best video that you can make in order to gain the most amount of fans. However, the quality of the video is a factor in the judging process. Just make it dope!
VOTING
Can I vote more than once?
Yes. Every video can be voted on once per day while the voting period is open.
How do you vote?
There will be voting buttons that appear next to every video withing the Facebook contest application once the voting period starts. YouTube “likes” and comments are NOT a vote.

Grand Prize: $2500 + opportunity to open up for the next FV show in your city

CONTEST BEATS
Can I use the beat that I download for my own project?
Yes, you may use the beats for you own project, but you must agree to our non-exclusive beat agreement before downloading the beat.
Can I use my own beat for the contest?
No. You must use one of the featured beats on the contest homepage to submit your entry. All entries that do not use one of the featured beats will be disqualified.
Can I alter the beat?
You may put drops in the beat, but you may NOT add any additional sounds.
Can I change the beat at all?
No. You may only add drops or shorten the beat if you don’t plan on using the entire track.
